Unit 3 Rainbow

Hi everybody, first off, this relaxation exercise was great for me. I knew about the colors of the chakras, the energy centers of the body, and their location, but it was good to hear those little affirmative sentences to go with them. I really felt good all the time through it. I started with a head ache which was gone by the end of the exercise. Amazing how that works! I find this to be a very holistic meditation. Starting with the grounding of oneself, then the being with the other world, being loved, love in return, vision for goals, and finally the connection with the outer self, the universe or one's spirituality. I loved it! It made me feel whole and strong. I think I will incorporate this meditation in my daily life...with a few changes.

Now to the rating exercise:
I would rate my physical well being with a 8, healthy, only my smoker's cough is not pretty anymore. Ergo my physical goal is to decrease my smoking or stop altogether, if I can. To keep up my physical health I will continue to practice Taekwondo.

My spiritual well being I would rate with an 8 as well, I have a good connection with my spiritual being and my goal is to deepen and widen it. As an exercise to do so I will meditate regularly.

My psychological wellbeing is rated with a 6; there is still a lot of stuff from the past that I have to work through. My goal here is to clear away my issues with my father...at least start it. This I will accomplish by focusing on it with my therapist.

All in all, I must say I find myself pretty healthy and happy. Only sometimes can my psychological side kick me in the stomach and then I have to work especially on my spirituality to counteract that. So, let's see how my goals and exercises work out this week!

  1. I also had heard about chackras and will we were going through the exercise I was thinking this is what we are following. I think it is relaxing enough that you could get rid of a headache. I am glad you are going to try to resolve your issues with your father or at least try it will make you feel so much better to know that you tried. forgiveness is a wonderful healer for those that can forgive.

  2. Forgiving is one thing, forgetting another. But I am told that sometimes when you truly forgive you will also forget. But on the other hand, sometimes I think I forgot only then after some trigger discover, I have not forgotten at all. and then it haunts me again....guess I will have to work on it from several angles, not only psychologically but definitely aslo spiritually.
