Autogenic training
I am typing this with my hands still very heavy and warm! I have some experience with meditation but there was something new in this exercise. The man said that 80% of my blood would center at my core in a state of relaxation. Wow. I did not know this, but it made total sense. I could even feel it. My legs were light and almost not existant. Whereas my arms, after I had sent the blood flow from my core to the arms and hands, were heavy and almost timgeling. Unfortunately after that some other music started and destroyed the whole relaxation effect. Did anybody have the same experience? I had 5 minutes of warmth and beauty and then was dirupted by Rolling Stones, I think.

I didn't have that experience but I see what you mean about the music. I think that it makes sense that most of the blood is in our core while we are relaxing since this is the biggest part of our body. I guess I am easily seduce because I was sleeping in less than five minutes, lol. I guess it doesn't work the same way for all of us. Maybe it would work for you without the music. Good try tho
ReplyDeleteHuh, I wonder where the other music came from? I have tried to meditate at work and without fail, something happens to rather harshly interrupt. The result is usually painful! That is why I only do these things at home now, and only when I am home alone, with the phones turned off and no chance of being interrupted.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you felt relaxed. I actually had anxiety because I don't like to feel paralyzed and I have a medical condition that I began to worry would be aggravated by this exercise. Apparently it wasn't though. Phew! It was probably a silly concern anyway.
That is really a great post, it made me feel like i was there with you. Being able to feel your body come to peace within is a great feeling. I have felt what you were explaining such a great inner experience. I am glad that you also got to experience it even if it was just for a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteMy experience was like yours! I could literally feel the blood saturating my muscles and they became heavy and warm. I loved how I felt at the end of exercise. I didn't want to lift my arms at all!
